Just chillin'
Nachum Eichenhorn @NachumDetroit 4/55
Ok! They have called the meeting to order. They started by approving the agenda and minutes from the last meeting.

Nachum Eichenhorn @NachumDetroit 6/55
Now a presentation by the public affairs team. They are going over the upcoming change of administration in Washington, and the soon-to-flip Michigan House (it went Republican in the late election)
Nachum Eichenhorn @NachumDetroit 7/55
The presentation is being given by Public Affairs Associates, who has been engaged by DWIHN. Right now Tyrone Sanders is speaking. paa-online.com

Nachum Eichenhorn @NachumDetroit 8/55
Sanders is describing the large "mental health gap" and predicts that more funds might be forthcoming from the new legislature.
Nachum Eichenhorn @NachumDetroit 9/55
They predict that money and funding will be harder to come by as Republicans make attempts to slash the budget.
Nachum Eichenhorn @NachumDetroit 10/55
Moving on to board member reports, beginning with the chair. She says in the next few weeks they will need to form a nominating committee to choose new officers.

Nachum Eichenhorn @NachumDetroit 13/55
The reports from the committees are, to put it mildly, not robust. It's clear they're working from a packet that everyone else has, so the actual reports are hard to pick out substantive actions.
Nachum Eichenhorn @NachumDetroit 14/55
Now board actions First up, a contract to find the Direct Worker Training Program Which is contacted with the American Society of Employers for leadership, training and pre-employment services
