The Mayor has called the City Council to order to begin the meeting.
The first public comment is from a resident concerned about saftey as a result of migrants in the Gage Park area.
The next public comment is from a resident concerned about how resources are not being allocated toward the homeless and instead toward migrants
Another Gage Park resident is concerned about saftey in the area ."The system is failing us. We are the ones who put you there".
Various members of the council as well as the Mayor are expressing support for the integral role of women within the council and beyond.
The council is now voting on a Loan restructuring agreement with Halsted Limited Partnership for the acquisition and rehabilitation of a building on Halsted (48 Yea).
Roll call vote is happening for authorization of the Corporation Counsel to enter into and execute Settlement Orders in Estate of Roshad McIntosh, deceased, by Cynthia Lane, administrator v. City of Chicago ($2,250,000). Ye 32, Nay 14. Motion passed.
